Kinh ông Thánh Augustinô (Thánh Âu Tinh, Thánh Augustinô thành Hippo)
Lạy ông thánh Augustinô, là đấng đã làm cho Hội thánh sáng ra, và phá các đạo rối làm nghịch cùng Hội thánh, cùng là đấng có thần thế trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời, thì chúng con xin Người cầu bầu cho chúng con là kẻ làm con chiên Hội thánh, được soi gương bắt chước Người, cùng vâng giữ những lời Người giảng dạy. Chúng con xin ông thánh Augutinô cầu cho chúng con. Đáng chịu lấy những sự Chúa Kitô đã hứa.
Lạy ơn Đức Chúa Trời có phép vô cùng, xưa đã đốt lửa thiêng liêng đức kính mến cháy trong lòng ông thánh Augustinô, và nên như cột lửa dẫn đàng cho Hội thánh, thì chúng con xin Đức Chúa Trời ban cho chúng con được cứ chính đàng ông thánh này đã dẫn cho chúng con được theo khi sống ở đời này cho ngày sau được về quê thật Đức Chúa Trời đã hứa cho chúng con. Vì Đức Chúa Giêsu Kitô là Chúa chúng con. Amen.

Intercessory prayer to Saint Augustine
God of truth, the desire of our hearts, we praise you for your love that touched the heart of Saint Augustine and awakened in him the quest for your truth.
Attracted by the good things you made, he learned to seek your face and to know the joy of your presence. The name of Christ, echoing from infancy in the depths of his heart, called him back to your Word, the Teacher who dwells within.
With Saint Augustine, we praise the work of your love, and proclaim your action of grace in our lives. Through his intercession, we ask you to hear our prayers (Pause and recall your intentions.) Teach us daily to live by his example so that our restless hearts may find your peace, and our lives may rejoice in your love. Amen.

Prayer of Saint Augustine
Lord Jesus, let me know myself and
know you,
And desire nothing, save only you.
Let me hate myself and love you.
Let me do everything for the sake of you.
Let me humble myself and exalt you.
Let me think of nothing except you.
Let me die to myself and live in you.
Let me accept whatever happens as from you.
Let me banish self and follow you,
And ever desire to follow you.
Let me fly from myself and take refuge in you,
That I may deserve to be defended by you.
Let me fear for myself, let me fear you,
And let me be among those who are chosen by you.
Let me distrust myself and put my trust in you.
Let me be willing to obey for the sake of you.
Let me cling to nothing, save only to you,
And let me be poor because of you.
Look upon me, that I may love you.
Call me, that I may see you,
And for ever enjoy you.
Amen.

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit,
That my thoughts may all be holy.

That my work, too, may be holy.

That I love but what is holy.

To defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit,
That I always may be holy.
Saint Augustine (354-430) created this poetic prayer to the Holy Spirit.
